The West Homewood Farmer's Market is blessed to have some of the best Farms in Alabama to attend our market.
Southern Oaks Farm
Southern Oaks Farms is family operated in Springville, AL by Randy and Karen Melvin who started the farm in 1986 where they raised horses and cattle on the farm. Randy and Karen Melvin retired in 2005 from a long properous career and decided they wanted to farm. First, they started farming just a couple of acres conventionally, then in 2011, they added organic farming to their list.
The Melvin's pride themselves on being able to deliver the freshest availabe vegetables to the public. They are also generous enough to open the farm up for public tours as well as pick-your-own availability.
Todd's produce was est. in 1988 owners being Hal & Dordie Hayes who named the market after their son Todd Hayes. Todd's Produce has some of the best tasting peaches you'll put in your mouth.
Todd's Produce is proud of their Peaches and Homemade ice cream!
The Henke family moved to the Cullman area from Germany in the early 1800's and began farming. In the early 1900's the Henke and Schaeffel families combined their farmland through marriage, extending the property.
Tammy Henke began helping her mother, Christine run the farm after the death of her father in 1991. The grandchildren are learning the business of farming so they can carry on the family tradition!
