The West Homewood Farmer's Market was born out of an idea: what is good? "What is Good" is the name of a small group that was created at Shades Valley Community Church, and it exists under the belief that God created many good things to sustain life. He created the Earth, animals, land and called it all good. Not only that, but God put humans in charge of taking care of these land and animals. The West Homewood Farmer's Market was created out of a place of thinking about how we can be more connected to the land and animals, and by supporting our local farms, it gives the people of Birmingham the opportunity to care for the land and the animals. This is just a small way that we can all come together as a community, and do what God has entrusted us to do. This is why the market was created. The mission is to discover what is good and be a part of it.
