Summer Internship Opportunities at West Homewood Farmers Market

 

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Do you have a knack for marketing, sales, non-profit work, photography, or videography? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to gain valuable experience while contributing to a meaningful cause!

 

About Us

At West Homewood Farmers Market, we are dedicated to fostering community through environmental stewardship. Our mission is to tackle food insecurity in Alabama while supporting local farmers and producers. Through our vibrant farmers market and community initiatives, we aim to create a sustainable and inclusive environment where everyone has access to fresh, healthy food.

 

Internship Details

We are currently offering four summer internships in the following areas:

 

  1. Marketing Internship: Gain hands-on experience in marketing strategies, social media management, and event promotion.

  2. Sales Internship: Learn valuable sales techniques and customer relations skills while supporting our local vendors and community partners.

  3. Non-Profit Internship: Dive into the world of non-profit management and community outreach as you work to address food insecurity and promote environmental stewardship.

  4. Photography and Videography Internship: Capture the essence of our market and community through stunning visuals that tell our story and inspire others to join our cause.

 

Internship Schedule

​

- Tuesdays at the Market: Interns will work onsite at the West Homewood Farmers Market every Tuesday from 11 am until 10 pm. While this is not a paid internship, interns will earn $65 for their Tuesday shifts, and lunch will be provided.

 

- Virtual and In-Person Work: The rest of the internship will involve virtual tasks and visiting prospective donors in person to support our fundraising efforts and community initiatives.
