Come show your support for Homewood's Rescue Departments at West Homewood Farmer's Market last market of the season. The Police and Fire Departments will have their special vehicles and tactical gear, the Fire Department will have a fire truck and hopefully one with a big ladder. In addition, come see some of the largest tow-trucks in Alabama.
The market will feature 6 farms with great veggies, fruits, tiny greens and honey. In addition the market will feature baked goods, arts and crafts, food trucks, and live entertainment. Firekid (Dillon and Heidi Hodges) will be entertaining us with their amazing sounds.

The market is located at 160 Oxmoor Road, Homewood, AL 35209 nestled right in the center of the West Homewood neighborhood and parking is very easy. If there are no spots in the market's parking lot try the many lots in the surrounding area. Also, please do not park on both side of the neighborhood streets.

The West Homewood Farmer's Market is a family-friendly market where no alcohol is served and kids have as much fun as the adults. We are not having kid's planned activities again this summer due to COVID but we will have a good-'ole fashioned sprinkler set-up. Bring your little ones dressed in something where they can get soaked. You'll love the photos you can capture! It's simply a hose with a sprayer on the end... nothing fancy but the kids love it.

KIREKID (Dillon and Heidi Hodges)
Nashville-based Firekid is the synth-shaded, bluegrass-influenced indie folk project of Alabama singer / songwriter / guitarist Dillon Hodges. A boy wonder on the guitar, he began winning competitions at age 11 after having played the instrument for less than a year. He added singing and songwriting to his interests in his mid-teens, and at the age of just 17, he won the 2007 National Guitar Championship bluegrass competition. That year, he also self-released an album titled Stormy Weather. After attending college in Alabama, he moved to Nashville to further pursue music, and issued a rootsy, singer/songwriter-type album titled Rumspringa in 2013. Mixing his bluegrass background, his love of Americana music, and elements of contemporary indie electronic and pop, he began performing as Firekid, and signed with Atlantic Records in the spring of 2015. A three-track live EP, Live 2/19/15, appeared that April with the debut full-length Firekid following in September. Heidi, his wife, now joins him in performing.
