The West Homewood Farmers Market welcomes Awoulaba (Ah-Woo-lah-bah) Natural Skin Care Products back to our 12th market season this summer! Awoulaba is a female and veteran owned small business, owned by Ivory Kangah and her husband, Jacob. They started the business 4 years ago after buying luxury body butters and realizing the price was not affordable. After making their own skin-care products for family and friends, they noticed significant changes to their skin and complexion; not to mention demand for their products. Today, Ivory and Jacob are making multiple, large, batches daily and continue to expand their product line. Awoulaba products contain the highest quality and fresh materials from local organic farms to create luxury level skin care products. Their best sellers are body butter silk, luxury body scrub, bath and body fragrant oil, black soap bodywash, bath and body bars, facial scrub, facial anti-aging serum, and a facial moisturizer. Ivory and Jacob chose their name, Awoulaba, because “it represents women like me. Full-figured, voluptuous African queens who have curves and are and want to feel beautiful and my products do just that!”. She also states on her website, “Yes, my products are for everyone, however, I just believe that the full-figured woman with curves have been overlooked.”.
Check out Awoulaba’s website, www.awonsc.net for their full list of products and to learn more about them.
