Vendor Spotlight: The Southern Maple

What started out as her husband’s hobby has now turned into a full family operation. Meet the Tait’s - With Southern and Canadian roots combining forces, these full time parents, family vloggers, and woodworkers are creating something special. Britany and Cory Tait, husband and wife duo owners of The Southern Maple, have been building up quite the catalog of handmade, woodworking decor and they are ready to share it all with West Homewood Farmer’s Market for the 2022 season!

When asked about how this endeavor started Tait commented, “My husband has always loved woodworking as a hobby and his love for his craft rubbed off on me. He taught me how to use his tools and I have since taken over his shop!”

While Tait’s number one job is being a stay at home mother to her two beautiful girls, and a third on the way, during nap times and in the evenings you will find Britany in the shop where she begins to carefully craft away. Creating and putting together tasteful, southern-influenced home decor that has already resonated with many in the community. The Southern Maple’s uniquely carved farmhouse signs have shown to be the perfect accent for any home. The Tait’s are excited to return to the market this season and look forward to seeing the West Homewood Community for another Summer!
